이 연구는 중학교 3학년, 고등학교 1, 2학년 학생 1,880명을 대상으로 가족환경변인, 학교환경변인, 친구 환경변인이 우울집단과 비우울집단에 따라 그 영향력에 각각 어떠한 차이가 있는가를 살펴보았다. 

연구결과를 요약하면, 첫째, 우울정도가 다르다고 해서 성, 학교계열, 지역, 학년이 자살생각에서 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 가족, 학교, 친구환경변인은 우울집단과 비우울집단에서 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학대경험이 많을수록, 부모관심이 적을수록, 학교폭력피해경험이 많을수록, 친구스트레스가 높을수록 우울집단 청소년은 자살생각이 높을 것으로 예측된다. 비우울집단 청소년의 경우에는 학대경험이 많을수록, 부모폭력목격경험이 많으수록, 가족불화가 심할수록, 사회경제적수준이 낮을수록, 학교폭력피해경험이 많을수록 자살생각이 높을 것으로 예측된다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 우울에 따른 청소년의 자살생각에 대한 차별화된 개입을 위한 자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 

This study examined the factors associated with adolescents' suicidal ideation according to their depression and was to show depression is important factor influencing adolescents` suicidal ideation. Factors associated with adolescents' suicidal ideation in this study were consisted of an environmental system such as family system, school system, peer system. Family system included child abuse victimization, domestic violence witness experience, family relationship, parent`s concern, and socio-economic status of family. School stress, support by teacher, and experiences of school violence were included in school system. As factors of peer system, stress caused by friends and support by friend.

 1,880 junior and high school students were asked to complete self-administering questionnaires. Data were analyzed with frequencies, t-test, ANOVA, correlation, multiple regression analysis using SPSS 12.0 program.

 Study results were : adolescents` suicidal ideation and factors on adolescents' suicidal ideation showed significant differences according to their depression. Depression group and non-depression group were influenced by different factors on adolescents' suicidal ideation. These results reinforce importance of preparing prevention programs for adolescents’ suicide require differentiated strategies and tactics according to the target group characteristics. 

이런 연구들이 청소년의 자살예방에 도움이 될 수 있도록 사회의 다양한 기관들이 협력하여야 할 것이다.
